THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS

The Board is presided over by the Head of government who may entrust this task to the Minister of Communication.It is composed of representatives from the Royal Cabinet, the Office of the Head of Government and the relevant Ministerial Departments. It also includes representatives of both journalists and non-journalist staff.

It possesses all the powers and duties necessary for the management of the Agency. Hence, it makes decisions after discussing general issues related to MAP.

Bodies attached to the General Direction

MAP has bodies attached to the General Directorate, namely:

Made up of MAP directors, it is in charge of implementing the strategic orientations of the Agency.

It facilitates decision-making in three main areas namely: the accounts and financial reporting, the risks, internal control as well as internal & external audit.

Consists of the senior editorial staff. It ensures the compliance with the editorial line of the Agency, oversees the operation, production and evaluation of various news services.

This transversal management body is attached to the department of projects. Its goal is to bring professionalism to project management, steering them from the study phase to their final stage.

Advisory bodies :

It is composed equally of senior editorial staff and democratically elected representatives for this purpose. It is chaired by the Director of Information. This advisory body is associated in all decisions related to the production and evaluation of various news services as well as the discipline, promotion and mobility in regional and international offices of the Agency.

It has consultative powers. It issues an opinion or a recommendation on all matters related to the administrative, technical, commercial and financial services as well as to mobility, evaluation, grading, promotion, discipline and ethics, as the Board of the Editors.

Created in accordance with Article 464 of the Labor Code. It is a consultative platform for reflection and dialogue on strategic issues related to MAP’s future. It also sets out terms of the improvement of the Agency’s management, organisation, production, services, productivity, monitoring and projects evaluation.

    It is the intermediary between users, subscribers and customers who wish to comment on the Agency’s content and MAP professionals who make such content.

It sets out professional, ethical and professional values that journalists have adopted and commit themselves to respect in line with world’s best practices.

It sets out a number of rules that define the nature of the mission of the Ombudsman, its rights, obligations and the referral procedure.

It defines the terms for the use of the Information & Communication system including Internet access, network and multimedia services in the MAP.
