Aeroexpo 2010 opens in Marrakech

Marrakech - The second International Exhibition for the Aeronautic and Aerospace Industries and Services "Aeroexpo 2010" opened Wednesday in Marrakech.

    The three-day event, which was inaugurated by Prime Minister Abbas El Fassi, gathers around 400 exhibitors, ministries of defence, civil aviation delegations, advisors, industrialists and representatives of local, regional and national government bodies from all over the world.

   Spanning on an area of 60,000 square metres, Aeroexpo Marrakech is Morocco's showcase for civil and military aviation, technology and services that will focus on creating opportunities for participants to interact and meet new buyers and partners.

    El Fassi told MAP that the event is an occasion for the Kingdom to show the significant growth of the Moroccan aeronautic industry in recent years.

   He also stressed the Moroccan potential at the regional level in the field of aeronautic industries.
   Minister of Industry, Trade and New technologies, Ahmed Réda Chami, said aeronautic industries are one of the pillars of the Moroccan industry.

    He said Morocco will continue its strategy to assist the companies willing to settle in the country.
