Morocco dismisses Roger Lemerre

Rabat - The Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) decided, Thursday, to dismiss the coach of the national squad, French Roger Lemerre, under an amicable agreement, the federation's spokesman said.

    The national team harvested only two points in three games under Lemerre, who was appointed less than a year ago. It has, thus, lost all chances of qualifying for the 2010 South Africa World Cup and even risks missing the Angola 2010 African Nations Cup.   

    The Atlas Lions lie fourth in their group behind Gabon, Togo and Cameroon.

    Apart from poor results, Lemerre had a poor relationship with the media.
