Morocco to take part in international conference on violence against women

Rabat - Morocco announced on Friday it will take part in the international conference on violence against women due in Rome on September 8-9 at the initiative of Italy, president of the G8.

   The north African country has dispatched Social Development, Family and Solidarity Minister, Nouzha Skalli, whose address will be given during a session on "Taking up the Challenge", a statement of the ministry said.

   The conference will be a platform to think about the different types of violence against women, especially within the marriage bond, against little girls, during armed conflicts and in the workplace, the statement said.
