HRW report on Human rights in Morocco is 'superficial', NGO saysRabat - The National Council of the International Union for supporting the autonomy project in the Sahara criticized the "selective" and "superficial" approach of the latest Human Rights Watch (HRW) report on the rights situation in Morocco.
The Council said in a statement issued on Saturday that the HRW report lacks scientific and objective data, particularly the short period that the organization had spent in the camps of Tindouf, compared to the one spent in Morocco. According to the same source, the report was based on statements made by parties hostile to the national cause. The report, which also confuses the trial of individuals in criminal cases with the situation of Human rights, lacks scientific objectivity and does not meet the required conditions for conducting surveys on the ground, the NGO said.
