Princess Lalla Hasna inaugurates center for abandoned disabled children in CasablancaCasablanca, Feb. 9, 2009 (MAP) - Princess Lalla Hasna, sister of king Mohammed VI, inaugurated, here Sunday, the Lalla Hasna center for abandoned disabled children in Casablanca.
On this occasion, the princess was briefed on the MAD 2.73 mln ($ 319 K) refurbishment works of the center, which will host disabled children from la Maison d'Enfants Lalla Hasna in Casablanca. The 8637.60 square meter center, which currently hosts over 60 children, offers medical, educational and socio-professional services to disabled children. The center, with 35 supervisors, aims to integrate disabled children in social life through encouraging their participation in artistic and sports activities. It comprises many facilities, notably a physiotherapy hall, a wing for mentally disabled children, a wing for girls, a sports hall, a classes hall and a handicrafts workshop.
