The phase provides for restoring façades, paving alleyways, and revamping walls and houses in danger of collapse. The first phase had benefited eleven ksours that house 12,500 inhabitants for an investment of 50 million dirhams. The sovereign was also given details about the 2010-2011 upgrading programme for the neighbouring town of Rich. The programme will require an investment of 17 million diahrms, and will benefit some 5,500 inhabitants.
