HM the King chairs prince Moulay Ismail's marriage ceremony

Rabat - HM King Mohammed VI chaired, on Friday in the Royal Palace in Rabat, the marriage ceremony of Prince Moulay Ismail to Miss Anissa Lehmkuhl in accordance with the traditions observed by the Cherifian Royal family.

The Ministry of Royal Household, Protocol and Chancellery had announced on Tuesday that the ceremony will be followed, Saturday September 26, by the wedding ceremony.

It said Miss Anissa Lehmkuhl, who was born to German Muslim parents: Mr. Omar Lehmkuhl and Mrs. Amina Lehmkuhl, has been Muslim since her childhood. Her parents have embraced Islam during their stay in Morocco, which enabled Miss Lehmkuhl to get acquainted with the customs of the Moroccan society.

Mr. Omar Lehmkuhl had, for many years, held the position of a military attaché to the Embassy of Germany in Morocco.
