Morocco keen to promote South-South cooperation, State Secretary says

Seoul - Morocco will continue supporting development efforts made by African countries through promoting South-South cooperation, Morocco's State Secretary to the Foreign Ministry Mohamed Ouzzine said.

Aware of challenges facing South countries, Morocco voices anew "its firm will to continue supporting African countries' development efforts and transform its cooperation into a real partnership through promoting South-South cooperation," he said during the Second Korea-Africa Forum, held on November 24-25 in Seoul.

Morocco is keen to be more involved in the development initiatives mentioned in the action plan of this forum, he said, adding that the North African country is ready to share its expertise in the fields of agriculture, fisheries, construction and irrigation with African countries, through a triangular cooperation "Morocco-Korea-Africa".

The State Secretary hailed the "steady commitment" of Korea regarding African countries, saying that the forum represents "a major event in the excellent relations between Korea and Africa".
