Authenticity and Modernity Party strongly denounces comments of Aminatou Haidar

   During a meeting with the elected representatives of the northern Tangier-Tetouan region, PAM leaders denounced the "provocative" comments that offend the patriotic feelings of the Moroccans, expressed by Aminatou Haidar, who is supported by foreign parties.

   PAM Secretary General Mohamed Cheikh Biadillah said his party is "outraged" by the exploitation by certain parties of the climate of freedom that prevails under the reign of HM king Mohammed VI to achieve ends that are hostile to the territorial integrity, describing these activities as "high treason" at a time when most Moroccans are united behind HM King Mohammed VI to defend Morocco's integrity and sovereignty.

   Aminatou Haidar, he went on, took advantage of the climate of freedom to travel with a Moroccan passport and with Moroccan funds, while persisting in rejecting the formalities of Moroccan border authorities. 

   For his part, member of the party’s national bureau Fouad Ali El Himma denounced the harassments of certain individuals who seek support from foreign parties, thus going contrary to the spirit of citizenship and political dialogue that prevail in the north African kingdom.

   The region’s elected representatives called, in a statement issued after the meeting, for the strict implementation of the legal provisions that guarantee the integrity and sovereignty of the country.
