A/H1N1 cases in Morocco rise to 1,072

Rabat - The number of confirmed cases of A/H1N1 in Morocco has risen to 1,072, with 57 cases documented on Thursday, according to the Health Ministry.

    The cases were reported in Marrakech, Fez, Ifrane, Errachidia, Agadir, Inezgane, Casablanca, El Jadida, Meknes, Rabat, Essaouira, Nador and Oujda, the ministry said, adding that all of them are undergoing regular check-up.

    Out of this total, 543 cases were documented in schools.

    The first A/H1N1 death case was reported last Monday in the eastern city of Oujda. The victim, a 23-year-old man, was admitted to a local hospital on November 10 after suffering for a week a pleuro-pulmonary infection.
