Morocco among 'most active' countries in economic reforms, report

Washington - Morocco is among the most active countries in terms of economic reforms aimed at facilitating commercial transactions and improving the business climate, the Word Bank's "Doing Business 2010" report said.

The document, which made an inventory, over the past five year, of 140 measures facilitating commercial transactions in 92 countries, came to the conclusion that Morocco is among the most active countries regarding reforms, along with Egypt, India, Brazil and Colombia.

This co-publication of the World Bank and the International Finance Corporation noted that only Morocco, in addition to two other countries, has stepped up the information system related to bank credits.

The report noted also that Morocco is among 27 countries, out of 183, which have introduced reforms to make obtaining bank credits easier.
